2. Hosting
This website is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. When you visit the website, Cloudflare processes technically necessary data such as your IP address, date and time of access, the page requested and browser information in server log files. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is the secure and reliable provision of the website. Cloudflare stores this data for as long as is necessary for these purposes and to comply with legal obligations, and then deletes it; Cloudflare does not state a fixed period. For more information, see Cloudflare’s privacy policy: https://www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy/
We have concluded a data processing agreement with Cloudflare pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR. Data may be transferred to the USA. Cloudflare, Inc. is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
3. Contact by email or phone
If you contact us, we process your details to handle your request. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures) or Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. The data is deleted once it is no longer required and no statutory retention obligations apply.
4. Contact form
The contact form on our website is currently disabled, so no data is processed through it. Please contact us by email or phone (section 3).
5. Google Maps
On our contact page we embed a map from Google Maps after you have given your consent. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.
The map is only loaded once you have accepted marketing cookies via our cookie banner. Only then is data transmitted to Google, in particular your IP address, the page visited, and browser and device information, and cookies or similar technologies may be stored on your device. Google may also transfer this data to Google LLC in the USA. Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
The legal basis is your consent pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR and Section 25 (1) TDDDG, which you give via the cookie banner. Your consent is stored (section 6); you can change or withdraw it at any time with effect for the future via “Cookie settings” in the page footer. Alternatively, you can open the location directly at Google via the “Open in Google Maps” link.
For more information, see Google’s privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
6. Cookies, tracking and external content
To manage your consent we use the Cookiebot service. The provider is Usercentrics A/S, Havnegade 39, 1058 Copenhagen, Denmark. When you visit the website, the Cookiebot script is loaded from the provider’s servers; in the process, your IP address is transmitted to the provider and its service providers. Your choice is stored in the “CookieConsent” cookie on your device.
As proof, the provider logs your consent with the first half of your IP address, your browser’s user agent, the website’s domain name, the date and time of consent, and a unique, encrypted key. The log is stored in a data center of Microsoft Ireland Operations Ltd in Dublin, Ireland. After 12 months, the consent is deleted from it and only used in aggregated, anonymized form for statistics.
To show the right cookie banner, the provider also processes your IP address for geolocation via its service provider Akamai in the USA. For transfers to countries without an adequacy decision by the European Commission, the provider states that it uses appropriate safeguards, such as the EU’s standard contractual clauses.
The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (c) GDPR in conjunction with Art. 7 (1) GDPR (proof of consent); storing your choice is necessary under Section 25 (2) No. 2 TDDDG. For more information, see Cookiebot’s privacy policy: https://www.cookiebot.com/en/privacy-policy/
Apart from Cookiebot and Google Maps after your consent (section 5), this website does not set cookies, does not use analytics or tracking services, and does not load fonts or other content from third parties. To remember your language choice, only the selected language is stored in your browser’s local storage (localStorage); this is necessary for the function you requested (Section 25 (2) No. 2 TDDDG).
7. Your rights
You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18) and data portability (Art. 20). You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, e.g. the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of Baden-Württemberg.
You can withdraw any consent you have given at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7 (3) GDPR), for example via “Cookie settings” in the page footer. This does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.
8. Right to object
Where we process your data on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR, you have the right to object to this processing at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation (Art. 21 GDPR). We will then no longer process the data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds that override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing serves to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
9. Automated decision-making
We do not use automated decision-making, including profiling, within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR.
